Fastest Growing Industries for Self-Employed Professionals in 2017
Dreaming of starting your own business, but not sure which industry to break into? Fear not — FreshBooks has compiled a list of the fastest growing professions for small business owners.
Software as a service tops the list, which doesn’t surprise Jon McCollum, founder of 3-person healthcare SaaS company and FreshBooks customer: “There are opportunities for specialized niche SaaS providers that didn’t exist 10 years ago, and it’s forcing established players to evaluate their offerings & pricing models to stay competitive. It’s a neat time to be the little guy!”
Jon’s not alone in thinking it’s a desirable time to work for yourself— more than 7 in 10 independent workers have no desire to return to traditional employment.
